Conference on Communication and Training for On-Site Response to Oil Spill Incidents in Cat Hai District in 2024

The oil spill response drill in Cat Hai district is an important activity aimed at enhancing response capacity and protecting the environment. Thorough preparation, good coordination among the forces, and practical training will help ensure an effective response when an oil spill incident occurs.
On November 14, 2024, the Cat Ba Archipelago Management Board, in coordination with the Coastal Resources and Islands Sub-Department under the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, organized a conference to disseminate information and train field personnel on responding to oil spill incidents in Cat Hai district in 2024.
Attendees at the conference included: leaders of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; leaders of the Cat Hai District People's Committee; representatives from various departments and agencies under Cat Hai district, including the Cat Ba Archipelago Management Board, the Coastal Resources and Environment Department, the Cat Ba Border Guard, the Cat Hai District Police, and the Cat Hai Military Command; representatives from the communes and towns within Cat Hai district; representatives from Hai Phong Port Tug and Transport Joint Stock Company; leadership and specialists from the Department of Sea and Islands; vessel owners operating in Cat Ba Bay; and representatives from ports, facilities, and projects at risk of oil spill incidents in Cat Hai district.
